Are you interested in a Metal Clay Conference in Las Vegas?

I’ve had the great pleasure of attending a Metal Clay World Conference and a PMC Conference.  At these events, I met so many wonderful and fascinating metal clay artists.  Artists that I am so happy to call friends.  There have been a few hearty soles that have taken on the challenge of putting together metal clay events.  All of them are delightful I’m certain, but maybe not as large as those previous conferences.  So I have a question for you… would you be interested in a Metal Clay Conference in Las Vegas?

LVM is a professional company that manages conferences all over the country. They are interested in organizing a metal clay conference, but because the niche is so small, they want to incorporate polymer clay and a small amount of glass as well. They would like feedback, because once committed, this is a huge undertaking with lots of financial implications on their part. You can contact Patty at patty@lvmanagement.com to let her know what you think.

They would have classes, a vendor room, much like the Metal Clay World Conference of old. Only they are totally unbiased and would only be interested in throwing the best, most complete conference ever.

The conference would be in Vegas, because rooms are cheap and nearly everyone can get a flight there. This would be for 2015, so they need all the feedback they can get.

Please let Patty know what you think. Just like the Glass Community has Glass Craft and Bead Expo, which also includes small amounts of polymer clay and metal clay, I think it would be fabulous to have a metal clay conference that has polymer clay and glass in it. There is such a wide crossover of techniques, molds, stamps, etc.

  1. I would be interested if it were only metal clay. I am not interested in either polymer clay or glass so a combined conference as you suggest does not interest me.

  2. as long as it’s not in the summer!

  3. I would love to go to that!

  4. Yes, yes, yes…..I am sooooo in! Our office has hosted conferences for marine investigators in LV and it was the most popular conference ever…people love traveling to Vegas…metal clay, glass and polymer…great combo and would have large appeal factor!

  5. The broad scope including other materials is interesting, especially if there are workshops on combining them. The key to a great conference is workshop presenters who are well known, respected, and great teachers, and reasonably priced fees and accommodations. LV is certainly price worthy.

  6. I would be interested in a metal clay conference in LV. Emphasis on metal clay but not exclusively. As long as metal clay is the primary focus, multi-media is fine.

  7. I would love to come having never been to Vegas. Would be a good combo metal clay and pc and glass clay for me Have you any idea of when in 2015 it would be as I am in the UK and have to plan my big holidays well in advance?
    .

  8. I am all for a conference in LV. I attended the Art Clay conference held there and thought the Venue was excellent, the rooms reasonable and the food excellent. I will definitely attend, and look forward to any conference where Jackie Truty has a helping hand in planning.

  9. It sounds great! I would love to attend such conference.

  10. I too attended the last conference in Las Vegas. I could justify the trip because my husband attended with me and had things to do during the day while I was in seminars. I would definitely like to do it again.

  11. It sounds good. I would come for sure. Mary Cooper

  12. I would love to have the conference in Las Vegas. We travel there often and really enjoy all the great things to do and see. A conference would make it an extra bonus.

  13. I would definitely be into a LV conference. It’s very economical to travel to Vegas from Canada.

    1. I wish it was as economical to travel from the UK to LV But I think if the timing is right I will be heading that way.

  14. Awesome!! I’m just starting metal clay after 8 years on the glass torch. I would LOVE another reason for my husband to take me to Vegas!! 🙂

    1. Sound like the perfect trip for you.

  15. I would attend the conference for sure and offered to teach a class if it happens.

    1. Do you have any thoughts on when in 2015 it would be if it going to happen?

  16. I would be there in heart beat. I have attended metal clay classes at th Glass and Bead Show in Vegas in the past but would prefer a metal clay conferance.
